Make haste slowly.
Rapidity does not always mean progress, and hurry is akin to waste. The old fable of the hare and the tortoise is just as good now, and just as true, as when it was first written.
Though I am always in haste, I am never in a hurry.
No man who is in a hurry is quite civilized.
Haste and rashness are storms and tempests, breaking and wrecking business; but nimbleness is a full, fair wind, blowing it with speed to the heaven.
Hasten slowly and ye shall soon arrive.
